Passengers will be asked to show a valid vaccination certificate with a QR code.
Unvaccinated travellers will still need to submit a negative PCR test within 48 hours.
This was one of many rule changes that were made across the entire emirate.
Officials also confirmed that masks are now allowed outdoors in Dubai and the UAE. However, it is still mandatory indoors.
  • Restaurants are also back at 100 percent capacity, for the first time since 2020.
  • Shisha cafes can also be restored to 100 percent capacity. However, according to United Arab Emirates law, smoking areas must have a minimum of two square metres per person.
Dubai-based Emirates announced that passengers flying to the holiday spot will now need to show proof of vaccination and not a negative PCR test.
Abu Dhabi’s National Emergency Crisis & Disasters Management Authority has lifted the travel ban.
A green Al Hosn Pass is no longer required to cross the border from Abu Dhabi to Dubai.
For those who wish to access public spaces such as restaurants and malls, the pass is still required.
This news comes at a time when the United Arab Emirates has seen a decrease in Covid-19-related cases, and high vaccination rates and booster jab rates.
